The draft manuscript for my SF collection "Wild Chrome" has now been sent to Russell at Ticonderoga.
It's been a long slog trying to get all the material together, but I'm now feeling pretty good about the stories. 25 so far, ranging from 500 to 6,000 words, with a good mix of new and previously published work. I hope to finish off another two or three stories before the final deadline in May then we'll be into editing and proof reading in the lead up to publication in October.
Damien Broderick has kindly offered to do the foreword and a good friend in the US is tackling the cover art.
I can't wait to see the final product. Keep an eye out for more updates.

With one urban horror story accepted for Aurealis, two SF flash stories accepted for Antipodean SF, and one weird SF autopsy story shortlisted for ASIM, 2011 is ending on an Aussie spec fiction high.
Many thanks to the readers out there, particularly those who took the time to provide some great and constructive feedback on my stories in Clarkesworld and Cosmos Magazines. And many thanks to the editors including Neil Clarke, Cat Sparks, Dirk Strasser, Stuart Mayne, Ion "Nuke" Newcombe, Chris Bartholomew, Jessy Marie Roberts and Elizabeth Fitzgerald. And last but not least, a huge thanks to the artists including Jamie Tufrey (mate, you are a legend!) and Tristan Hodgetts. Oops, how could I forget the narrators for the audio versions including Kate Baker and Marie Agnes Lo Cascio - simply awesome.
Have a safe and relaxing Christmas. See ya in 2012, assuming the calendar doesn't run out ......

Aurealis ePublication
Well, it's been a long journey of about a year, but my latest story "Heaven and Earth" is coming out in Aurealis #46 in November.
Thanks so much to Stuart Mayne for selecting and editing the story - best of luck with your new endeavours, Stuart. Also to Tristan Hodgetts for a very cool illo.
And thanks to Dirk Strasser. It's a big decision moving Aurealis online, and not an easy one I imagine. All the very best, and I'm looking forward to seeing this Aussie icon move up in status in the speculative fiction publishing world.
